The sky is falling and the runway is full of people. Get them out. Planes are coming down in flames across the horizon. Wreckage is scattered over the airfield. On the tarmac below, crowds of survivors are waiting for someone to fly them out, and the only aircraft still in one piece is yours. HOW TO PLAY Line up your approach and commit. The flight path is yours to aim, and where you bring the plane down decides who gets on board. Survivors are gathered in groups along the runway. Come in on the right line and you sweep them up as you go. Come in badly and you miss them, or worse, you find a burning fuselage exactly where you wanted to be. Every run is a judgement about angle, speed and greed. There is always one more group a little further out, and the wreckage is always somewhere between you and them. WHY IT WORKS Most disaster games ask you to escape. This one asks you to go back in. The scene is chaos, but your job inside it is calm and precise: pick a line, judge the drop, bring people home. That contrast is the whole appeal. Everything on screen is falling apart and you are doing careful arithmetic about angles. When a run lands perfectly and you pick up three groups nobody should have reached, it feels earned rather than lucky. THE GREEDY RUN You will always see one more cluster of survivors just past the safe stopping point. Sometimes you can reach them. Sometimes there is a burning wing in the way and the whole run ends two metres short of a crowd you could see waving. Learning when to take the safe line and when to go for the far group is the skill the game is actually testing. Everyone loses a few runs learning it. SHORT RUNS, REAL TENSION A run lasts under a minute. You line it up, you commit, and within seconds you know whether it worked. There is no waiting, no energy meter and no penalty for failing beyond starting the approach again. That quick loop is what makes the risk fun. Losing a run costs you nothing, so you take the greedy line far more often than you should, which is exactly the point. QUICK TIPS • Look at the whole runway before you commit. Plan the line, not the first group. • Wreckage does not move. Memorise where it sits and route around it early. • A steady run that collects four groups beats a spectacular one that ends in a fireball. • When the sky gets busy, focus on the ground. The crashes above are mostly scenery. WHAT YOU ARE FLYING INTO Each airfield is laid out differently. Some give you a clean stretch with the survivors spread evenly and nothing in the way. Others drop a broken fuselage across the middle of the runway and leave the largest crowd sitting directly behind it. The scenery does the storytelling. Hangars, scattered luggage, the shadow of something enormous passing overhead. You are not told what happened and you do not need to be.
