You steer it left and right, and every gate it passes through paints, prints or adds something. Your target design sits at the top of the screen the whole time. Colour gates flood the fabric. Pattern gates stamp flowers and prints across it. Some gates are exactly what the brief asked for and some will ruin a dress that was nearly finished. At the end of the line is the submit arch. WHY IT IS SATISFYING There is a very specific pleasure in watching a plain piece of fabric turn into something finished. A blank dress goes in, a wash of yellow hits it, a run of pink flowers stamps across the front, and suddenly it looks like something a person would actually wear. The scoring keeps it honest. Anyone can get a dress to the end of the line. Matching the brief exactly, with no stray colours and no missed prints, is a different job, and the difference is visible the moment you submit. READING THE LINE Levels are built as a sequence of choices. Two gates side by side, one right and one wrong. A run of pattern gates where you want the second and third but not the first. A colour gate placed just after a corner so you barely see it coming. Once you start reading the layout instead of reacting to it, you stop arriving at the submit arch hoping for the best and start arriving with exactly what the brief asked for. A print over the wrong background cannot be fixed. • When two gates sit together, commit early. Clipping the divider takes both. • A clean simple dress scores better than a busy one with a mistake in it.
