Complete them and collect credits. 🃏 YOUR CARD DECK Play with double-German (Doppeldeutsch) cards or with the French deck, whichever you prefer. 📖 THE RULES IN SHORT • Four players in two teams of two, partners sitting opposite – or three players, one soloist against two • 20 cards: ace (11), ten (10), king (4), queen (3), jack (2) – 120 card points in total • One player names the trump suit. You must follow suit; if you cannot, you must trump, and you must beat the highest card whenever possible • King + queen of a suit = 20 points, 40 in trumps – announced by leading one of the two cards • The first side to 66 card points wins the deal: 1 point if the losers reached 33 or more, 2 points if they stayed below 33, 3 points if they won no trick at all • If nobody reaches 66, the winner of the last trick takes 1 point • The first side to 24 game points wins the match 🎺 EVERY CONTRACT AND ITS VALUE • Bettler (4) and Ass Bettler (5) – lose every single trick, with no trump. In an Ass Bettler you also hold an ace, which makes it harder. Played open they are worth 7 and 8. • Schnapser (6), Schnapser mit Partner (6) and Kontraschnapser (12) – reach 66 points inside your first three tricks while the opponents win nothing. • Gang (9), Bauernschnapser (12), Zehnerloch (10) and Kontrabauernschnapser (24) – win every trick. Gang without trumps, Bauernschnapser with trumps, and in a Zehnerloch the ten is the highest card and the ace the lowest. • Farbengang (18) and Herrenschnapser (24) – win every trick with a dream hand: five cards of one suit, or five trumps. A higher call, or a Kontra, multiplies the stake. 👀 SHOW CARDS & CONCEDE Once the round is decided you can reveal your hand or concede, so you do not have to play out every trick.
