Chroma Gate is a sliding puzzle where the board itself is a drawing. Every level past the tutorial is built on its own silhouette. An apple. A key. A zipper. An arch. The bricks fill that shape and nothing else, so each board arrives as a picture before it becomes a problem. There are 250 of them and no two repeat. HOW IT PLAYS Push a brick and it slides until something stops it. Line it up with the gate that matches its colour and it leaves the board. Clear them all, free the hero, open the gate. The difficulty is the order, not the speed. Clear the wrong brick first and the one behind it has nowhere to go. WHY THESE BOARDS ARE DIFFERENT Chroma Gate's levels are not generated at random and they are not hand-placed by eye. Each one is built by injecting bricks backwards along the exact path they will later take to escape, which is what makes the silhouette and the solution possible at the same time. Every board is then proved solvable three separate times — once while being built, once as a shipped file, and once by a solver that plays it through the real game engine with simulated touches. A level that looks impossible never is. Each level also carries its own time budget, calculated by actually solving the board and measuring how much searching it demands — not by counting bricks. Tight boards get more time. Loose ones get less. FIVE MECHANICS THAT SHARE ONE BOARD • Ice: a frozen brick waits for an entire colour to leave before it moves. The colour it is waiting for is drawn on its frame, so it is always readable. • Split: a brick lying across a gate gets bitten in half. One problem becomes two. • Chains: two bricks tied together, usually different colours. Free one end and the other slides. • Portals: step on the pad, come out somewhere else. • Walls: the cell that will not move. The first nine levels teach all five, one at a time, with a finger showing the exact move. After that they blend, and the boards get tighter rather than bigger. BUILT TO RESPECT YOU • No lives, no energy bar, no wait timers. • Fully offline. All 250 levels ship inside the app. • Progress is saved on your device, not on a server. No account, ever. • Colour-blind mode puts a distinct symbol on every brick and every gate, so matching never depends on hue. • Stars come from the clock: finish with half your time left for three. Free, with ads between levels and an optional ad for extra time. The tutorial is never interrupted.
