Only the current version so far — new entries appear as the game ships updates.
This is episode 2. It's a continuation of episode 1, "The Photo Studio," so it's recommended to play episode 1 first.
Episode 2 alone can conclude the story and be solved completely.
Cafe Minamo is an escape game where you must escape from a cafe that closed 20 years ago.
A close childhood friend suddenly disappeared from this town.
As you ask around at the bottom of the hill, you arrive at a cafe on a corner overlooking the sea.
The door was open. As you enter, the door closes behind you, and you hear the sound of a lock being pulled from the outside.
■ The people in this cafe don't write names.
They only write seat numbers.
All that's left is a stack of receipts and a floor plan of the seating.
You'll have to decipher who came and when from these.
■ There are no dead ends.
No matter what order you investigate, there are no irreversible choices.
You won't lose any items, so you can try everything you can think of.
To prevent situations where you can't solve the puzzle because you made a mistake somewhere,
we have machine-checked every possible step before releasing the solution.
■ Where to investigate is shown on the screen
The areas with frames are the places you can investigate. Areas where something else might happen are highlighted in a darker color.
We believe that the time spent searching for what to press is not the fun part of this game.
We designed it this way to leave only time for thinking.
■ The level of difficulty has been increased from the first episode
Even those who solved the previous episode will want to think about it again,
we have increased the number of questions that require a longer thought process.
However, we haven't hidden any clues or increased the effort required to find them.
All materials are placed in locations where you can read them if you investigate.
■ There are three levels of hints
The first level only tells you "where to look." The next level is the thought process, and the last level is the answer.
The first level is always free to read. The second level and beyond are unlocked by watching the video.
If you cannot watch the video, you can open it directly. Once you've opened a hint, it won't disappear even if you start over from the beginning.
Answer sections are always provided. This is to prevent you from having to search for walkthroughs on external websites.
■ You can write down what you've seen on the spot.
There's a "Write Down" button below the text that appears when you investigate something.
What you write down is accumulated in the photo memo and can be read directly from the number matching screen.
You won't have to go back and forth between rooms while remembering dates and numbers.
There's no limit to the number of things you can write down.
■ There's only one puzzle that requires timing.
Even if you don't finish in time, you can try again as many times as you like on the spot. You have nothing to lose.
The clock starts ticking after you press "Start."
If you don't want to be rushed, you can turn it off in the settings. You can still solve the puzzle even if you turn it off.
■ Continue from where you left off, no matter where you close the game.
Every move is saved. Even if you close the game in the middle of a puzzle, you'll continue from where you left off the next time you open it.
