Night three hundred since it started. The wall is still standing.
Shoot the walkers yourself. Build a squad. Finish the vaccine.
No auto-battle — you pull the trigger.
▣ YOU DO THE SHOOTING
Tap to fire. Aiming, reloading, going for the head — all of it is your hand, not a script.
44 weapons, each with its own recoil, reach and magazine. One round from the bow pierces
a whole rank. A three-second reload can cost you the night. Finding the gun that fits your
hand is the first job.
▣ EIGHT POSTS. WHO STANDS WHERE?
Four in front, four behind. Those eight posts decide the night.
· Scout · Gunner · Marksman · Engineer · Medic
· Formation bonuses — who stands beside them changes what they can do
· Four tiers of doctrine per role
· Eleven ranks, from Private to General
Every soldier has a name. When they joined, how many they put down, where they fell —
all of it is written. Lose one and you don't lose a number. You lose a person.
▣ TEN DISTRICTS, THREE HUNDRED NIGHTS
Pushed out of the suburbs and down into the underpass. Up again with the people
from the cathedral. Burnt streets, a mountain temple, a construction site,
a slaughterhouse, St. Mercy, Fort Ash — and the Sealed City.
Every district has a warlord leading its horde. Nine kinds of their tissue make the vaccine.
▣ THE THING GUNS DON'T KILL
You see it on the 120th night. Taller than the buildings, and the horde steps aside for it.
Every weapon you have does nothing. That is when you understand:
you were never fighting a horde. You were fighting its fingertips.
There is exactly one road left.
▣ NO TWO NIGHTS ALIKE
Heavy fog and distant shots go wide. Downpour bleeds the damage out of every round.
A blackout drags your reloads. Under a full moon more of them come — and more is left behind.
Crossroads force a choice on the spot: what do you take, and what do you give up?
There are voices outside the door. Opening it lets the noise out too. Do you open it?
▣ THINGS WORTH KEEPING
· Stars — earned by clearing cleanly. They open what money cannot
· Legendaries — one in twenty warlord drops, rolled with traits
· Attachments — optics, barrels, magazines. They actually appear on the weapon
· Three Mythics — a bow that chains lightning, a rocket that bursts in a cross,
a rifle that never stops
▣ THE END ISN'T THE END
Clear all three hundred and two roads open.
Normal brings thicker things.
In Hardcore, a fallen soldier never comes back. Only the name survives, in the Hall of the Fallen.
One hand, ten minutes a run. The wall is behind you again tonight.
