Remember playing checkers as a kid? The board on the kitchen table, the piece that finally got crowned, the multi-jump that won the game.
Now there's always someone to play with.
Checkers offline against a 4-level AI — and no ad in the middle of a match.
Across the board sits an AI at your level: on Easy it goes gentle, on Master it shows no mercy. You pick the challenge and play at your own pace, anytime.
Checkers against the computer, in 4 official rule sets:
• American checkers (8×8 board): the classic rules you know.
• International draughts (10×10 board, 20 pieces a side) — the tournament standard.
• Brazilian draughts (8×8 board): the flying king and chained captures.
• Russian draughts (8×8 board): flying kings and immediate promotion.
• An AI with personality: aggressive, defensive, positional or balanced.
• A game fits in a coffee break.
WHY IT'S DIFFERENT HERE
• No full-screen ad in the middle of a match: full screen only comes up after the match is over.
• No ad takes time off your game — the clock stops while the ad is in front of you.
• The ad never covers the board: it sits in the footer, in a space that is already reserved.
• No lives, no energy and no waiting: play as many games as you like, whenever you like.
• Genuinely free checkers: no match is ever locked and nothing has to be bought to play.
Every day there's a reason to come back:
• Daily Challenge: 3 new levels every day, worth coins.
• Today's prize: a king every day to start your game ahead. On day 5, two.
And when you want a different kind of challenge:
• Survival: only the pieces left on the board carry over to the next game, while the AI always comes back at full strength. How far can you go?
• Kaleidoscope: the AI switches style every move and, at the end, shows you the style it used on each one.
• Unpredictable AI: strength and style drawn at random every game.
• Study Mode: set up any position on the board and play from there — good for practicing endgames and openings.
WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET
Checkers without internet, no sign-up and no login. On the bus, in line, on a break. The AI runs on your device, so a bad connection never costs you a game. Your match saves itself: close the app and come back exactly where you stopped.
MADE FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE LEARNING
• On your first move, the pieces that can play are highlighted.
• If you tap a piece that cannot move, the app tells you why instead of doing nothing.
• Each of the 4 levels has its own pace — from beginner to club player.
CHECKERS RULES AND COMMON QUESTIONS
• Why am I forced to capture? Because it is the official rule of draughts: when a capture exists, it is compulsory. Under the Brazilian rules you must also take the largest possible number of pieces.
• Why did the game end in a draw? A draw has rules too: the same position repeated three times, 20 king-only moves by each side (under the Brazilian rules) and some short endgames. When that happens, the app tells you which rule applied.
• Does it need internet? No. Only the ad does — if you are offline, the game plays the same.
The AI hides no advantage: it is the same engine for both sides, with no secret move.
If you want to take back a move, or get 3 pieces to carry on after a loss, you can watch a video — always your choice, never required.
Available in Portuguese, English, Spanish, Russian, French and Hindi.
In your first game, it goes easy on you. After that… it's up to you.
