SNOEK'EM is a 16-bit arcade fighting game set on the South African coast. Six fish with six dirty pasts fight for Die Boek, the King Prawn's book of dirt on every fish on the coast. Win it, and you're the One True Snoek. Dis nou braaivis! FIVE WAYS TO FIGHT • Arcade Tournament: six bouts down the coast, a bonus round at Knysna and the King Prawn at the end. Sign the Harbour Board with your initials. • Last Patrol: the story. Brander, a disgraced patrol officer and the only galjoen on the coast you can buy, goes down the coast after the King's book, through streets full of crews and hazards. • Versus CPU: any fighter, any arena, three difficulties. • Local Two Player: two players, one device, two controllers. • Link Battle: two phones or tablets on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot, or one against a computer running the desktop version. No internet needed. EIGHT FIGHTERS, 48 SPECIALS Kaap the Cape snoek, Blaas the pufferfish, Ronin the swordfish, Volt the electric eel, Mako the shortfin mako and Koi Royale, with two more to find. Each has six specials, from a flying torpedo to an electric coil to a braai, and a dossier full of things they'd rather you didn't read. BUILT FOR TOUCH An eight-way pad, punch, kick and a TURN button. Quarter-circles, guards and throws work as they would on a stick. Pair a controller and the touch controls step aside. PROUDLY LOCAL Pixel-art arenas from Cape Town Harbour to Hartbeespoort Dam and Sun City, crowds of locals, an Afrikaans announcer, an original soundtrack, and insults made of seafood and braai ("Jou ma se lobster!"). FREE, AND THAT'S IT No ads, no in-app purchases, no account and no internet needed. Your progress and high scores stay on your device.
