Tile Associations is a word puzzle where you match tiles by meaning, not by looks. Tap three that belong together and they clear. Air, time and love are all invisible, and a car, a plane and a wave can all crash.
Spotting two identical shapes is a reflex. Working out why three unlike things go together is a thought, and that small click when it lands is what makes this match-3 different. Some tiles carry a word and some carry a picture, and a word and a picture can belong to the same category. When a set clears, the game names it for you.
Your tray has seven slots. Every tile you tap takes one, and three that share a category clear out of it together. Fill all seven without a match and the run is over. That is the only way to lose. There is no timer and no move limit, so nothing hurries you.
The board is stacked like mahjong, tiles overlapping in layers, and some start face down. The tile you need is usually under one you do not, and every tap spends a slot, so the game is really about deciding what to dig for and in what order.
Your first level shows you how with a pointing hand, so there is nothing to read before you start. The 100 levels run from plain categories like animals, fruits and weather to ones that take a second look, where an echo, a mirror and a twin are all a reflection.
Once a day there is a cuisine to cook. Ten cuisines take turns, French, Japanese and Thai among them, each on a kitchen board of its own where the categories are dishes and the tiles are the ingredients that go in them.
Four boosters arrive as you play, each with one use to try it. Undo takes back your last tap. Hint points you toward a match. Sneak Peek shows you a hidden tile. Shuffle rearranges what is left.
Entering a level costs coins, and you earn them by playing. If your tray jams, spend coins or watch a short video to carry on. A daily bonus grows with your streak.
