Every ghost wants its own corner of the haunted house, and none of them will stand next to another. Boodoku is a logic puzzle where your job is to work out where each one goes — using nothing but deduction. HOW IT WORKS The board is split into coloured regions. Place exactly one ghost in every region, one in every row, and one in every column. And the ghosts will not tolerate each other: no two can touch, not even at the corners. That is the whole rule set. No numbers, no arithmetic, nothing to memorise. NO GUESSING, EVER Every board has exactly one solution and every solution can be reached by pure reasoning. If you are stuck, the answer is on the board — you just have not spotted it yet. Work out where a ghost cannot go, and the place where it must go appears on its own. A SPOOKY PUZZLE THAT IS NOT SCARY Friendly ghosts, soft colours, nothing that jumps out at you. It is Halloween-flavoured rather than frightening, so it works for anyone who likes a calm puzzle with a bit of atmosphere. TAKE AS LONG AS YOU LIKE No clock counting down and nothing pushing you to hurry. Stare at a board for five seconds or five minutes. The difficulty lives in the puzzle, not in the pressure. BUILT FOR A SHORT BREAK A board takes a couple of minutes. Small boards while you wait for the kettle, bigger ones when you want to sit with something. Plays offline, so a signal is never required. GOOD FOR YOUR HEAD Deduction puzzles like this one work on concentration, spatial reasoning and the habit of eliminating what is impossible before looking for what is true. It is a genuine mental exercise that happens to be relaxing. Download Boodoku and find out where the ghosts belong.
