We all have an opinion on laws. Much less often, we've actually read the text. Pericles puts you in the shoes of a member of parliament. A real bill tabled in Parliament is displayed: what it says, what it changes, what it costs, who defended it, and who opposed it. You vote FOR, AGAINST, or ABSTAIN. And it's only after voting that you discover the actual results. No editorials, no bias, no sound bites. The texts come from the National Assembly's public database; each entry cites its sources, and you can access them. It's the opposite of a news feed: we give you the information, we let you decide. At the end of the process, your compass: where your votes truly lean. Sometimes, you might even surprise yourself. 158 laws actually introduced since 2017, and 12 2027 campaign promises slipped in among them. Can you spot the ones that were never submitted to anyone? SOURCES Each law card cites its source: National Assembly, Senate, Légifrance, INSEE, Court of Auditors, ministries, research institutes. The links are verified one by one before you enter the game. Spot an error? The flag at the top of the card sends it to us. Campaign promises, on the other hand, refer to the official platform of the party that made them.
