Tatami is a shikaku logic puzzle: divide the floor into rectangles, one number in each. The floor of a Japanese room is bare, and each number is a mat waiting to be laid. Press on a number and drag out a mat. A mat is always a rectangle, it holds exactly one number, and that number is how many squares it covers. Lay mats until no bare floor is left. Each room has a single answer, and careful reasoning alone will find it. HOW A ROOM PLAYS • Drag from a number to size its mat. If a mat can't go there, the room tells you why • Every mat size wears its own colour, so a finished floor reads at a glance • Tap a mat to lift it again. Undo is free and has no limit • No clock, no move count, no lives. A room can't be lost, only left for later • Hint lays the one mat the room already forces, and names the reason: "The 3 fits only here" • Check lifts every mat that doesn't belong FOUR HALLS, 160 ROOMS, ALL FREE • The Tea Room: 5×5 and 6×6 floors to learn the feel • The Study: 7×7 and 8×8 • The Guest Hall: 9×9 and 10×10 • The Great Hall: 11×11 and 12×12, for long, deep sittings • Lay most of a hall's rooms and the next one slides open • Want more? The Garden Pavilion is an optional fifth hall of 100 rooms at 12×12 and 13×13 TODAY'S ROOM: A DAILY PUZZLE • A fresh room every day, gentle early in the week and deeper by the weekend • Each day in a row lights another paper lantern on the veranda DRESS THE ROOM • Sakura, a cherry-blossom spring, is yours for free • Lantern Night, Ukiyo-e and Hinoki are optional room themes. Each one changes the scene, the board and the music • Pick one, or take All Themes for every theme now and any added later HOW ADS WORK HERE • Tatami is free to play and supported by ads • Full-screen ads only come between rooms: none while you play, none in your first session, none after the daily room • Hint and Check are your choice: watch a short video only when you want one. Your very first Hint is on the house • Remove Ads clears the banner and the between-room ads. Hint and Check stay just as they are Every room is already on your phone, so Tatami plays offline too. If you enjoy brain teasers, number puzzles or a quiet, relaxing logic game before bed, the house is open. Slide the door open. The floor is waiting.
