You see the figure for three seconds. It disappears. Only two golden dots remain—and your finger.
Look, Trace! is a game of memory, and a bit of precision. The figure appears for a few seconds, with two reference points. Then, it disappears and the dots remain. You need to redraw it from memory before time runs out. In the end, the two drawings appear side by side, along with the scores.
Games last about 90 seconds and have three rounds against an opponent of your level. The scores are added up, and the final round decides. You can play a game in the supermarket queue.
Throughout your career, you go through ten levels. You start as a Design Intern and work your way up: Notebook Artist, Wall Painter, Pop-up Designer, Generalist Freelancer, NFT Designer, Full-Time Artist... until you reach the top, Grand Master—and nobody gets there easily.
The figures also have personalities. Leaky Boat. Grandma's Teacup. King Stingy's Castle. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Each one has its own nickname, so no game is just geometry.
Look, Trace! was made for mobile phones: portrait screen, to play with one hand, no registration, no login and no waiting. Just open and play.
