Safari Dash

Safari Dash is a fast, one-thumb dash game across an African savanna at golden hour. A glowing sun-orb runner sprints forward on its own along a narrow trail that winds across the open plain, with a steep drop-off on either side. The runner always travels on a 45-degree diagonal, and the trail keeps bending ahead of you. Your only control is a tap: every tap swings the runner ninety degrees -- from up-right to up-left and back. Time each tap so the runner hugs the path as the trail zigzags toward the low sun. Miss a turn and stray off the edge, and you are lost to the dust -- run over. Glinting sun-gems rest along the trail in the amber light. Dash straight through them for a bright chime and bonus points, and sweep as many as you can while you hold your line. Your score is the distance you dash plus every sun-gem you gather, so the further and cleaner your run, the higher you climb. Each of the ten trails runs faster than the last, with shorter stretches between turns and less room to mistime a flip. Read the path ahead, tap early rather than late, and work your way across the savanna. Every run of a trail is generated from the same seed, so you can learn its rhythm and chase a deeper best score.
