Update history
0.1.7Oct 24, 2026
New:
- Music and sound effects, made for Wordfuda: a calm tune in the Japanese pentatonic scale, and soft sounds for picking, playing and scoring cards.
- Settings: switch Music and Sound effects on or off, each on its own.
- The music gets quieter while a word is read aloud, and it never stops music from another app.
0.1.6Oct 21, 2026
New:
- Wordfuda Pro: the N4 cards (627 words and 181 kanji) and no ads, in one purchase. No subscription. N5, hiragana and katakana stay free.
- Card meanings and the app in Indonesian, Spanish and Portuguese. A phone in one of these languages shows them; you can switch the meanings back to English in Settings. These meanings are machine translations, so please tell us if you spot a mistake.
0.1.5Oct 19, 2026
New:
- New here? Start with a short practice: one stage of hiragana where a miss costs only that card. It shows each step and every answer.
- The daily run now uses the decks you switched on (kanji only when "N5 kanji" is on).
- Play with your phone sideways or on a tablet.
- The ad banner fits its space.
- The ad privacy choices now come after your first game, not before
0.1.3Oct 15, 2026
Fixes:
- Back button: returns to the home screen instead of closing the app, and does nothing during a run.
- Words written the same way (九: きゅう / く) no longer show their other reading or meaning as a wrong choice.
- The daily run opens on a new day even if the app stayed open.
- Second Chance is no longer used up by a one-card hand.
- Tablets: the game stays in a centred column.<br
