SecondWorldWar is a large-scale turn-based strategy simulation set on the European front of World War II. Take command of a nation and direct cities, corps, fleets, research, diplomacy, air warfare, naval operations, and bombing campaigns. The game includes 5 historical scenarios from 1939 to 1944. France is playable only in the early-war scenarios, while the United States enters later as an expeditionary power. The U.S. begins without home cities on the European map and relies on off-map supply and scheduled reinforcements. Control of the Atlantic sea lanes directly affects how effectively American forces arrive. You will manage cities, organize corps, deploy fleets, and unlock equipment through research. Both auto-resolved and manual battles are supported. Manual battles include World War II-style support actions such as machine guns, mortars, anti-tank weapons, artillery, tanks, aircraft, and healing. Naval warfare uses dedicated sea zones and routes. Fleets refit in friendly ports, carriers operate carrier-capable aircraft, and surface forces can bombard adjacent enemy port cities. Each major country has required sea zones; failing to secure them causes economic pressure and can delay victory. Diplomacy is also central to the war. Declare war, negotiate truces, steal technology, run propaganda, influence countries, request reinforcements, send economic aid, and improve relations to shape the conflict beyond the battlefield. Key features: - 5 historical World War II scenarios - 24 campaign episodes covering ground, armored, air, naval, and bombing operations - Integrated city management, corps organization, fleet command, research, diplomacy, and air warfare - Both auto-battle and manual battle support - Country-specific required sea-zone objectives and sea-lane pressure - Building construction, upgrades, bombing damage, and delayed destruction - English, Korean, German, and French support Rewrite World War II through strategy, logistics, diplomacy, and command at sea.
