Jhandi Munda is the six-dice festival game also known as Langur Burja, Jhanda Burja, Khorkhore and Crown & Anchor. Gather round one phone, place your tokens on a symbol, and watch all six dice land at once. Play on your own, or pass the phone around a table of up to six.
🎲 WHAT THE GAME IS
Jhandi Munda is a traditional dice game long played in Nepal, India and Bangladesh, where it is also called Langur Burja, and it comes out most often when families are together at Dashain, Tihar and Diwali. The board carries six symbols: Crown, Flag, Heart, Spade, Diamond and Club, known at many tables as Burja, Jhandi, Paan, Hukum, Itta and Chidi. One seat acts as host and rolls, while everyone else chooses where to place their tokens.
HOW TO PLAY
1. Gather your family or friends around a single phone.
2. Look at the six symbols: Crown, Flag, Heart, Spade, Diamond and Club.
3. Place your tokens on one symbol, or spread them across several.
4. The host rolls all six dice at once.
5. Your symbol must show on two or more dice. One face is a miss.
6. From two up, your tokens come back plus that many times more. The more it shows, the more it returns.
Every roll is an even random draw. No symbol is weighted, no streak is corrected, and nothing anywhere tilts a round.
AROUND THE TABLE
A table takes seconds to set up. Name each seat, in any script, so Anu and अनु both sit down fine. Everyone starts with the same 500 tokens, which is what keeps a party game fair to whoever has just picked up the phone. Pick solo for a quiet round alone, or party for two to six players sharing one screen. Rounds are numbered, and the phone moves on only once every seat has placed. If someone runs out, a rescue bag is always there, so a table never dead-ends halfway through the evening.

🎨 LOOKS TO COLLECT
Thirty looks sit across five shelves: dice designs, board felts, painted backgrounds, token art and celebration effects. Seventeen of them are painted backgrounds, with scenes drawn for Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Some are yours from the start. The rest open one at a time, each in exchange for one optional video, and switching between anything you already own is always free.
🪔 WHO IT IS FOR
Made for families and friends who play together in the same room, and for anyone abroad who wants Jhandi Munda within reach. It suits a long Dashain evening, a Tihar afternoon, a Diwali gathering, or a quiet solo round on the bus. One phone is all the table needs. There is no account, no sign-up and nothing to configure beyond names.
YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU
Dice, tokens, history and settings are stored on your phone and are never sent anywhere. The game itself plays fully offline, so a weak signal at a family gathering costs you nothing.
A NOTE ON HOW IT WORKS
This version of Jhandi Munda is for entertainment only. Tokens are cosmetic, hold no value outside this app, and can never be exchanged. There is no real money anywhere in the game, nothing to buy, and no prizes of any kind. The app is free and supported by ads, which need a connection; the game itself needs none.
