Nova Strike features a total of 5 levels, which are unlocked sequentially upon completing the previous one. You begin the game with a spaceship that automatically fires at enemy vessels; destroying an enemy ship offers a chance to collect gold. Accumulated gold can be used to purchase additional spaceships or power-ups—such as freezing all enemy ships, auto-collecting gold, or deploying a bomb to destroy all enemy craft. Once you have 6 spaceships on screen, purchasing another will upgrade one of your ships to the next tier; each ship can be upgraded up to 4 times. You can view the various spaceship upgrade forms on the "Strike Types" screen.
