You are the CEO: every turn a new crisis lands on your desk, you make the tough calls, and you watch retention, revenue, customer acquisition cost, burn rate and runway move. Grow the company, or run out of cash before you ever ship. HOW IT PLAYS • Pick a difficulty: Easy gives you a long runway, Normal is the standard game, Hard (earned through progression) gives you little cash and brutal crises. • Each turn: read the crisis card, compare the options, commit. • Every decision has an immediate effect, a delayed side effect and sometimes a hidden cost that only surfaces turns later. • One session is short enough to finish in one sitting, and no two play out the same. REAL STARTUP METRICS Track the numbers founders actually worry about: monthly recurring revenue, user retention, CAC, burn, runway, infrastructure load, churn and team morale. Cut marketing to stretch the runway and growth stalls. Hire fast to ship features and morale cracks. Raise a funding round and you give up founder equity. There are no safe choices in this business simulator — only trade-offs. YOUR AI ADVISOR Alex, your advisor, reads your live metrics and gives a short strategic briefing each turn, and the AI mentor writes a debrief after each decision. AI features are optional: the game asks before turning them on, sends only your company's metrics and decisions (never your name or email), and every AI moment has a written fallback if you say no. VENTURE MODE: A LONGER CAMPAIGN Found a company in its own tab and manage it a week at a time. Choose one of eight company types (developer tools, marketplace, consumer brand, fintech, health tech, AI infrastructure, games studio, hardware), two founders and one of eight cities, each with its own salaries and access to capital. Put cards on the weekly board, advance the week, read the ledger, and watch your headquarters grow in 3D. It can end in an IPO offer, an acquisition offer, a company that is simply profitable — or a shutdown. After every game, the Board Meeting and the teardown show what worked and what sank you, and a weekly founder review tracks your best MRR and longest survival.
