You are the coach. The team is yours. 82 Basketball is a basketball career game in Portuguese: you take over a club in the NBB or NBA and are responsible for what happens to it. You manage the team, define the rotation, negotiate, sell, hire, draft, sign sponsorships — and report to a demanding board. It's the only basketball career game with the NBB. The 18 clubs of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), with the real athletes from each roster — and the entire league for free. ▬ REAL TEAMS AND ROSTERS The 18 NBB clubs and the 30 NBA franchises, with the real athletes from each roster. The names and positions are real; each athlete's rating is an estimate based on their actual production from the previous season — minutes, points, rebounds, assists. ▬ A WHOLE SEASON, FROM THE FIRST YEAR Home and away games in the NBB; 82 rounds in the American league. Playoffs in series, draft with lottery, end-of-year prizes, off-season, and the following season starting with the roster you left. Playoffs and draft happen in the first season — you don't need to play for five years to see the whole game. ▬ THE GAME, POSSESSION BY POSSESSION Follow live: score by quarter, who is carrying the team, the statistics of each athlete on the court. Make changes at halftime — change the lineup, change the pace, tighten the defense. Or let the simulator handle it and just see the result. The game accepts both ways. ▬ THE MARKET MOVES ON ITS OWN Other clubs negotiate among themselves, make offers for your athletes and reject yours. You can counter-offer. The salary cap and the luxury tax exist, and they're what prevent you from simply buying the best in the world. ▬ YOU CAN BE FIRED The board has a goal for the season and a mood that changes according to the campaign. If you don't meet it, you're out.
