■ What is Farland History? A browser game from 20 years ago has returned as a smartphone app. Farland History is a turn-based RPG that blends a story set in a world where five kingdoms vie for supremacy with a sandbox-style gameplay of warring factions. The main story, spanning eight chapters, is the limiting factor in unlocking the main area. As you progress through the story, new continents, professions, and enemies will be unlocked. Weave the destinies of warriors burdened by karma and the rise and fall of nations with your own hands. ■ Five Kingdoms — Fire, Water, Wind, Light, Darkness • Ignia (Fire) — A proud kingdom of warriors • Aquaria (Water) — A holy city of wisdom and defense • Ventus (Wind) — A nomadic people who believe in freedom • Rumelia (Light) — A holy kingdom governing faith and order • Noctus (Darkness) — An empire rife with intrigue With a rock-paper-scissors system of attributes + the conflict between light and darkness, the strategic possibilities are endless. Which kingdom will you join, and which will you conquer? ■ Warlords — City Attacks, National Politics, Nation Building The world is dotted with cities defended by other players. Attack and capture cities, develop and strengthen them, reinforce city walls, and contribute to the national treasury to enrich your nation. Eventually, you can even establish your own nation, adding a sixth star to the five kingdoms. Every action impacts other players' worlds, featuring authentic MMO political simulation elements. ■ Combat — Job × Skill × Equipment Over 20 job classes branching from 4 systems: Warrior, Thief, Mage, and Cleric. Over 30 attack, healing, and support skills, and weapons, armor, and accessories specialized for each of the 5 elements. The development paths are endlessly branching.
