HOW TO PLAY BANKO OKEY? Banko is played with 4 players and 106 tiles. The tiles are yellow, blue, black, and red, numbered two from 1 to 13; there are also two fake Okey tiles. The goal is to be the first to finish the hand by forming sets of all the tiles in your hand and discarding the last tile. Each hand is dealt 14 tiles to each player. The first player to play receives an extra tile and plays the first hand by discarding a tile without drawing one. After the dealt, one tile is revealed to determine the indicator; one more than the indicator is the Okey (if the indicator is 13, the Okey is 1). The Okey tile can be used in place of any tile, like a joker. The fake Okey tile can only replace the Okey tile. Sets are either series or "male". A series set consists of consecutive numbers of the same color (e.g., Red 5-6-7); a 12-13-1 set is valid for Okey. A male set consists of the same numbers of different colors (e.g., Blue 9 - Yellow 9 - Black 9) and can have a maximum of 4 tiles. Each set consists of at least 3 tiles. The player whose turn it is draws a tile from the central deck or from the previous player's deck, then discards a tile from their hand. When the player with the drawn tile has formed a set of 14 tiles, they discard the remaining tile to end the hand. A hand can also be finished with 7 pairs. At the end of the game, the remaining tiles outside of the set are totaled, and penalty points are calculated and added to that player's score. The player with the fewest penalty points at the end of the game wins. The player who finishes the hand earns points according to the indicator color. Yellow: -20, Blue: -30, Red: -40, Black: -50. Similarly, the player who makes an indicator receives points at the end of the game. Penalties are calculated differently depending on the indicator color. The penalty is calculated by multiplying the total number of tiles in your hand that do not form a set by the indicator color. If the indicator is yellow, the penalty is multiplied by 2; if it is blue, by 3; if it is red, by 4; and if it is black, by 5. For players who roll a double, penalties are calculated as double in addition to the existing color multipliers. A player who finishes the game by rolling an Okey receives 10 times their normal score. Also, if the player finishes with an Okey or a double, the penalties for other players are multiplied by 2; if they finish with both a double and an Okey, the penalties are multiplied by 4.
